DANCER AGREEMENT & LIABILITY WAIVER

Event: Tahiti Fête Hawai‘i 2026
Dates: July 3 – 5, 2026
Location: Neal S. Blaisdell Arena & Exhibition Hall | Honolulu, Hawai‘i
Organizer: Pua Tahiti Productions, DBA as Tahiti Fête Hawai‘i


Section 1 – Competitor Terms & Conditions

1. Registration & Payments

  • All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, including withdrawals, scheduling conflicts, or disqualifications.
  • Entries are confirmed only after full payment and submission of all required documents (registration form, waiver, and proof of age if applicable).
  • Late or incomplete entries may not be accepted.


2. Conduct & Behavior

  • All competitors, instructors, and supporters must uphold the Aloha Spirit—showing respect, kindness, and professionalism toward judges, volunteers, staff, and fellow participants.
  • Yelling, arguing, or disrespectful conduct toward event personnel or others will not be tolerated.
  • Any individual (competitor, instructor, or supporter) who behaves in a disruptive or aggressive manner may be removed from the event and disqualified without refund.


3. Performance Guidelines

  • Performers must follow all posted schedules, call times, and backstage instructions.
  • Late arrival or non-compliance may result in forfeiting performance time.
  • All choreography, costuming, and music must reflect cultural integrity, safety, and appropriateness.
  • The organizers reserve the right to reject or stop any performance deemed unsafe, offensive, or disrespectful.


4. Media & Promotional Use

By participating, competitors and groups grant Pua Tahiti Productions, DBA as Tahiti Fête Hawai‘i, permission to record, photograph, or film performances and to use those images or recordings for promotional, archival, or educational purposes without additional consent or compensation.


5. Respect for Judges & Staff

  • Judges’ decisions are final and must be respected.
  • Competitors and instructors may not challenge scoring or engage in negative discussions about results.
  • Online posts or public comments that disparage the event, its participants, or staff violate this agreement and may lead to disqualification or exclusion from future events.

Section 2 – Waiver of Liability & Release


1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in Tahiti Fête Hawai‘i involves physical movement and performance, which carry certain risks of injury.
I voluntarily choose to participate (or allow my child to participate) and accept full responsibility for any injury, accident, or damage occurring before, during, or after the event.


2. Medical Treatment

In case of injury or emergency, I authorize event staff or emergency personnel to obtain medical assistance deemed necessary.
I agree to be fully responsible for any medical expenses incurred.


3. Personal Property

I understand that I am responsible for all personal belongings and that Pua Tahiti Productions and the Neal S. Blaisdell Center are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of property during the event.


4. Code of Conduct

I agree to maintain the spirit of Aloha throughout the competition, showing respect toward all judges, staff, volunteers, and other participants.
Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in immediate removal without refund.


5. Release of Liability

I hereby release and hold harmless Pua Tahiti Productions, DBA as Tahiti Fête Hawai‘i, its officers, staff, volunteers, sponsors, contractors, agents, and the Neal S. Blaisdell Center from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising from participation in the event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.


6. Media Consent

I authorize the use of my (or my child’s) image, voice, or performance in photos, videos, or other media for event promotions, social media, and future marketing, without compensation.


Acknowledgment & Signature

By submitting my registration, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the Tahiti Fête Hawai‘i 2026 Competitor Agreement & Liability Waiver and that I understand this is a legally binding release.
